They tell me they want to be doing what I’m doing (living online) but when I ask them what they have done so far to make it happen they say:
- I’m waiting to come up with an idea
- I need to learn programming first
- I need to find the time first
- I want to do something original
- I need to go on a guru workshop first
And so on. The joke it that getting started in internet marketing can be done in a day with a simple e-book. It need cost nothing or no more than a few dollars. If nobody buys it so what? There are rarely true innovations on the web. 99.9% of us are doing something done elsewhere by others but in our own way or using our own experiences. You could copy the marketing model from pretty much anyone who is doing well (look at AthleanX for example) and you should make some sales.
My first e-book wasn’t great, the videos didn’t look cool or professionally done but it slowly sold over the years and still is. It made maybe $30,000 over five years but it proved to me it could be done and wasn’t as hard as some people make out.
